My wife made a Mii of me at Mii Editor.

We don't have a Wii yet, but maybe someday mii will be able to get one.
In just the few weeks (about 3 I think) since I started hosting Project Wonderful ads, I have now surpassed my Google Adsense profits. It is only by 3 cents, and that means on ads I have made a total of $3.27, but hey, it's something. I plan on using the Project Wonderful income to put up ads on Project Wonderful to get more site traffic. I will as soon as I have more ads created. Right now the best ad I have is a tower ad, and those tend to not be easy to buy advertising spots for as easily as some of the other options.
I think I will run a small campaign using the small button ads to see how that goes.
I've had a few breakthroughs in my Interactive Fiction story. I was stuck for a bit wondering how to proceed. I was writing down random ideas and a few of theme merged together to make an ultimate idea! I think I've got a fair idea how to finish the story. I should have it done in enough time to add lots of details to it once I get it to work correctly. It is a pretty exciting venture.
Play Piano offers a free newsletter as well as a plethora of Piano lessons & piano chords. I myself can only play three songs on the piano: Mary Had a Little Lamb, Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee, and Star Wars (which I also recently learned to play on the harmonica... I can only play three songs on that too.) If you or someone you know are learning piano, this site offers lots of resources.
We cooked the turkey we got for Thanksgiving on New Years Day. We didn't eat it on Thanksgiving because some friends invited us over, since Erin wasn't up to traveling with the rest of my family to see more of my family (first trimester).
We slow cooked it. We had one of those turkey cooking bags, so I put it in that. Then we tossed in some taters and carrots. I cut the skin near the breast meat and rubbed butter inside. Then I cooked it for 20 minutes at 450 degrees, then for 3 hours at 250 degrees. It was all very nice and moist.
The only thing that was a problem was the rank was a little high in the oven, so the top bit of the bad got melted to the heating element, but this didn't melt all over the bird or anything no harm done. This also might have caused the leg meat to get overcooked... it shrunk up and exposed the bone on both legs. Was still pretty good though.
I had both dark and light meat (if a turkey part of The force?) and both were nice and moist. I believe the high heat for the 20 minutes seals up the bird and keep the juices inside. The bag may have helped a lot too. Kept the pan cleaner it minimum.
I really don't like to move. It can be a massive hassle. I'd like to move now though, not to fond of the apartment in which I live, but that is besides the point.
Back before I got married, we were planning on moving a bunch of stuff by land from her house to mine (she was in Georgia, I in Oregon), and I remember trying to find transport for moving. Checking several different sites to check prices and all, a big hassle. If I had known at the time, I might have went to Home Bulletin can provide quotes from several different Moving Companies all from one site, like Expedia does, but for shipping things.
In the end, we did things a lot differently, (losing my job threw it all out of whack) but being able to get quotes from different places all at once would have saved a lot of time.
Before I am Famous has a contest where you can submit a fictional character name and a genre, and Jenn, the blogs author will write a 1000 page story about the character with that name and the genre you selected. I should do something similar on The Space Turtle.
I just bought Lost Cities, the two-player card game from Rio Grande Games by Reiner Knizia. Erin and I played it. It is a really simple, but thought provoking game.
The point of the game is to go on expeditions to find lost cities. The cards and board are nicely made. Nothing flashy and the only point of the board is to make for better organization of your cards. There are five cities to explore. You explore them by placing down cards numbered 2-10 in a progressive order, one card per turn, but you can skip numbers (i.e. 2, 4, 7, 8, 9). Before you start the numbered cards, you can place up to three investment cards for each lost city. These give you more points of you succeed.
The scoring is based on the total of the numbers on the number cards you have on a lost city (each expedition to each lost city is scored separately), minus 20, times the number of investment cards plus 1. This can net you a handsome score, or a nasty negative if you planned out your moves wrong, such as laying down investment cards on a lost city without having enough cards to continue the expedition and then not drawing them later.
I give this game a high score. It classic Knizia fashion, the game rules are simple, but the strategy goes deep. If your local game store does not have it (or you don't have a local game store), you can get it at Fun Again Games.
I forgot Jump Leads in my Webcomic awards! I added them. Read the entry here
I caught wind of a new networking site called Yuwie. Basically, they share the earnings of their ad revenues with their users. As a networking site, so far it doesn't 'look' great, but it is still in beta, so it has room to grow. I figure, hey, can't hurt to try and I can plug my site on it {:0p
