How Legendary Am I?

I saw I Am Legend today. I give it about three stars. It was made well, and it certainly had a decent story, at least most of it. I wont reveal any of the story, so don't worry. Will Smith did about as good as always, so, really good. The plot makes sense and it keep you watching.

Should you see I Am Legend in theaters? Maybe. I wont say it is a must see for theaters, but if you are a big Will Smith fan, or like seeing movies in the theater just because, then for sure. If you want to see a movie in theaters, and nothing else looks good, yes. If you only like to see REALLY good movies in the theaters, perhaps wait to see this one later. I don't regret seeing it in theaters.

Bonus: The new Batman movie trailer was on before I Am Legend. It looks really sweet.

Inform Beta Update

I updated the IF beta game on my site. You can access it by clicking Games in the upper right.

Yes yes YES!

I am so excited!!! I just got done watching The Next Great American Band. The Clark Brothers one!!! They were my favorite band on the show by far.

Everything they played they played with conviction. Several of the bands that got cut early were arrogant, or just plain couldn't sing, but these guys, pure amazingness. I could not be happier at the moment as far as this news goes. It was a tense moment when they were up against Sixwire at the end. I knew inside that The Clark Brothers should win, but until I knew for sure, it was crazy inside. If Denver and the Mile High Orchestra had won, I could have lived, but not Sixwire. They played o.k., but I didn't really like them too much. They didn't seem to have the same heart DMHO or The Clark Brothers have.

Today is a great day.

Uplogix Remote Network Management

A company called Uplogix offers remote configuration management for networks. This system allows network administrators to set up multiple monitoring stations on networks and monitor them from one location remotely, no matter the state of the network. It also can automatically do about 60% of normal menial network administration tasks, free up the network administrator to do more important tasks.

I would imagine this would make network administrating easier, especially for remote networks. Having the ability to fix problems without having to by physically present would allow network administrators more precise control because they can deal with more issues from one location without having to travel to one place to fix one issue, while at another location the situation is degrading because they cannot be at two places at once.

Plus remote administration is cool.

Organiz'd!

We've gotten most everything all moved about and organized around the apartment. We moved things around to make room for the crib. The place looks a lot neater. My computer station is more organized, too. I hope to keep it that way, but that might take a miracle or two.

I tried some Eggnog flavored Bigalow tea last night. It was pretty good. It's a mix of black and green teas. I can't say it tasted a lot like eggnog though.

I put up some Project Wonderful ads, but I've only gotten 1 click so far. I tried putting the free ones on slightly more visited sites this time, but I got less clicks then normal. Maybe I'll just put them on pretty much all the free choices like I normally do. It takes a little more time, but I seem to get more clicks.

I've noticed that the more ads spots you have, the less you get paid to show them. Like if you have two rows of ten ads each, you'll get less than having one banner. This is not always the case if you have a very popular site, but if you have too much space, the demand is met, and the price stays low. If you have a lower amount and the demand is not met, that means more people are bidding on the space and the high bid is higher.

I read about Adwords placement, and I may move mine around a bit later, but I'm not sure.

Down to the Under

If my wife and I took a flight to Australia, we'd visit a few certain things: The Great Barrier Reef. we'd make sure to be completely covered. I think half of everything in Australia that swims tries to kill you. I'm not sure though. We'd visit that big red rock which has a name, but I forget it. We'd visit David Morgan-Mar who writes Irregular Webcomic. I'd learn to surf (while being completely covered, I dunno if my wife would try). We'd have to see the Sydney Opera House. I don't know if they play music besides opera, but I'm sure it would be good no matter what. We'd visit the biggest zoo they have. We'd visit everywhere in Australia that the people who were on the Lost plane crash were, if they really exist. We'd take a different flight back then them, though. This of course is all fantasy at the moment, because we are not going to Australia any time soon, but if I could. Oh, we'd also have to meet The Newsboys, and Rebbecca St. James. My wife would love to meet her.

Turnabout is fair play

I've started using the earning from Project Wonderful to buy advertisements. Unlike Adwords, where you can't access your funds until you get $100, you can use Project Wonderful earned funds at any time for buying ads, no matter how much you have, or you can withdraw to your account (PayPal) so long as you have earned $10.00.

I alloted $0.30 to be used towards advertising. Lets see if it raises my hits over the weekend.

I completely redid my Google Analytics account, I incorporated the whole site into one report. Before I had The Space Turtle and the rest of the site separate from each other. I did this a few weeks ago, so I can't compare accurate data from too far back. I think I get more hits over the weekend.

Boxing, with Pac-Man! No, not the candy crunching one...

pacquiao vs marquez tickets are available!

In 2004 they had a draw. I wasn't able to see the fight, but apparently Pacquiao (Pac Man) knocked Marquez down three times in the first round only to have Juan Manuel Marquez come back and end up with a split draw. Sounds like it would have been a fight to see.

Could you imagine it, being Marquez? First round, WHAM, you fall down. You get back up, not ready to die. WHAM, you hit the ground, hard. You get back up. Before the first round is done, WHAM, you crash again. You get back up. Over the rest of the fight, you block, you punch, you dodge, you hit, you miss, sweat is pouring down your face, fists grasped with fierce determination to win anyways. In the end, it is a draw.

Now it is time to settle the score in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. The roar of the crowd, the silence just before you swing a mighty blow, everyone watching every movement of your glove, waiting to see who will be the winner this time.

I'd love to be there, just outside the ring, where you can almost feel the wind of their blows across your body, and I'm not really a boxing fan, but this fight is more than a fight, it will be a final chapter of a story.

Unless they tie again.

Catching up fast...

I currently have earned $0.30 from Project Wonderful! It's certainly not much yet, but that is in less that two weeks, and I've only got $1.56 from Adwords in like five months.

I've got some more ideas to have more consistent content, mainly for the Space Turtle, something I can do at a certain day of the week or so. Hopefully it'll catch on and I'll get more repeat viewers. A visitor once isn't much, but someone who comes back regularly is golden. I just don't update enough right now I think, or at least consistently enough.
